Thymus serpyllum
The fragrant handsome thyme blooms during the summer, delighting the eyes with pink, purple, lilac shades. And thyme grass can delight the body at any time of the year. Moreover, in several ways: it is brewed and drunk like tea, fresh leaves are added as seasoning in a variety of dishes, sauces and drinks, and used for healing.
The main components of thyme are thymol and carvacrol. Thanks to them, as well as organic acids, tannins, flavonoids, bitterness, the plant has an analgesic, bactericidal, anti-inflammatory, bronchodilating effect.
Thyme is used:
• in the treatment of respiratory organs;
• in the treatment of the digestive tract;
• in neurology;
• when solving dental problems;
• in the treatment of joints;
• to enhance men’s health.
It is not for nothing that thyme was nicknamed the Mother of God grass in Russia. Everyone can be convinced of its beneficial effect.

Methods of preparation and recommendations for use
Infusion: Pour 1 teaspoon of grass with a glass of boiling water, wrap it with a bath towel for 20-30 minutes or insist in a thermos. Strain, squeeze the remainder. Take 1 glass 3 times a day before or after meals. Duration of admission is 20 days (depending on well-being).
Store the prepared drink in the refrigerator for no more than 2 days.
Tincture: pour 50 g of herbs into 0.5 l of vodka, insist in a dark place for 3 days. Take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day, regardless of food intake.
