Ingredients: glucose, sodium citrate, potassium chloride, sodium chloride, at least 109 viable bacteria (Lactobacillus reuteri DSM 17938), zinc sulfate. Without GMO.

Application: BioGaia ORS is recommended for diarrhea and other conditions accompanied by dehydration (dehydration). BioGaia ORS is rapidly absorbed by the body and helps restore the physiological balance of the intestinal microflora, improve digestion and provides replenishment of fluid and electrolyte loss during dehydration that occurs during vomiting, diarrhea, acetonemic syndrome, intoxication of any origin (fever, infectious diseases, food poisoning).

L. reuteri promote the breakdown of lactose by producing lactic and acetic acid. By excretion of antimicrobial compounds, in particular peculiar to L. reuteri reytrocycline and reuterin, the growth of pathogenic microorganisms in the digestive tract is inhibited.

Recommendations for use: Dissolve 1 sachet in 250 ml of chilled boiled or bottled water. It is important to use at least a specified amount of water to prevent excess salt from entering the children’s body. Stir well until dissolved. If the doctor has not appointed otherwise, follow the following guidelines for dosing BioGaia ORS. The first stage of taking BioGaia ORS is 4-8 hours.

When vomiting, take the solution fractionally – often in small portions. For a child, calculate the amount of solution needed for an hour, and let’s drink 10–15 ml every 5–10 min. using a pipette or a teaspoon. The second stage of taking BioGaia ORS involves taking 50–100 ml after each episode of liquid stool, but not less than 50 ml / kg of body weight per day until the symptoms cease. BioGaia ORS has a neutral taste, which facilitates the use of the solution in young children. To impart a taste of the solution, you can add 0.5 teaspoons of fruit juice per portion of BioGaia ORS 250 ml.
