The action of the dietary supplement URONORM ® is due to the properties of the components (according to literature data):
Cranberry extract. The main biologically active substances of cranberry fruit extract are proanthocyanidins (PAC) – micronutrients related to polyphenolic compounds contained in plants and berries and possess antioxidant, antimicrobial properties. Antimicrobial properties of proanthocyanidins cause their protective action, including in relation to infectious and inflammatory phenomena in the urinary system. Research has shown that proanthocyanidins interfere with the attachment and reproduction of microorganisms on the epithelium of the urinary tract, thereby facilitating their excretion, and also contribute to an increase in the body’s defenses.
The antioxidant properties of cranberry extract are also determined by the presence of ursolic, citric, and chlorogenic acids, whose protective properties are due to their ability to reduce the activity of free radicals.
Cranberries are also rich in organic acids, flavonoids, contain tannins and carotene.
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is involved in the regulation of redox processes, carbohydrate metabolism, improves the body’s resistance to viral and bacterial infections, tissue regeneration, reduces the permeability of the capillary walls. Ascorbic acid has antioxidant properties, participates in immune reactions, and also creates unfavorable conditions for the growth of microorganisms in the urinary tract.
1 tablet URONORM® contains 36 mg of proanthocyanidins and 60 mg of vitamin C.
Due to the content of proanthocyanidins, cranberry fruit extract in the composition of the BAA URONORM® helps to keep the urinary system in a healthy state.
According to scientific data, in the presence of such adverse conditions as a too humid and (or) hot climate, stress, poor hygiene, some women may increase the risk and likelihood of repeated episodes of urinary tract infections. An increase in urine pH, observed during the age of menopause, is a factor affecting the increase in urinary tract infections. Also increase the risk of recurrent urinary tract infections such factors as diabetes, taking corticosteroids, use of barrier contraceptives. р>
