Birch bark tar has a keratolytic (exfoliating), antiseptic, drying, anti-inflammatory, insecticidal and disinfectant effect. Effective with age-related changes in the structure of the skin, helps to smooth out wrinkles, increase firmness and elasticity. Birch tar, due to its pronounced specific odor, is effectively used as a radical remedy against midges and ticks.

Birch bark tar is used in dermatocosmetology as a keratoplastic, anti-septic, drying and anti-inflammatory agent. The use of tar for the purpose of prevention and as part of complex therapy is indicated for acute and chronic dermatoses (erythema, microbial eczema, neurodermatitis, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, seborrhea, pyoderma, fungal skin diseases, hair loss).
Mode of application
Perfumery and cosmetic products are intended exclusively for external application to certain parts of the human body. Birch bark tar is applied to the skin, hair, nails in order to cleanse and maintain them in normal functional condition.
In acute and chronic dermatoses, apply birch bark tar to the lesions once a day, gradually increasing the application time from 10 to 30 minutes. Remove dry skin or tightness by applying emollient creams. For small lesions, apply birch bark tar 1 — times a day under a bandage.
In case of hair loss, apply a 5% solution of tar along the entire hair length 30 minutes before washing. To prepare the solution, it is necessary to dilute a teaspoon of tar in 100 ml of water, shake well. Apply the resulting emulsion to the hair.
Contraindications: individual intolerance. Avoid contact with eyes. During procedures using tar, it is not recommended to be in the sun – this can lead to burns.
