Description Zafakol – dietary supplement to the diet – an additional source of butyric acid, inulin and bifidobacteria. Zafakol – the original colonoprotector.
Appearance and properties: coated tablets, from white to very light greenish-blue.
Zafakol helps to restore and normalize the functioning of the colon in inflammatory and functional diseases. Due to butyric acid (calcium butyrate) in the composition, Zafacol exhibits a colon-protective, anti-inflammatory, trophic and carcinogenic effect on the intestinal mucosa; normalizes peristalsis and regulates stool; eliminates dyspeptic manifestations (pain, cramps, bloating, feeling of heaviness, etc.). Bifidobacteria and inulin restore the microbiocenosis and eliminate dysbiotic disorders in case of concomitant diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
According to publicly available scientific data, inulin is a fructooligosaccharide (a complex carbohydrate of plant origin), which belongs to the group of prebiotics and manifests its properties in the large intestine, where it is completely absorbed and hydrolyzed by intestinal microflora, mainly bifidobacteria. In the process of microbial metabolism of inulin, endogenous butyric acid is formed. By promoting the reproduction and active growth of the normal intestinal microflora, inulin enhances colonization resistance (that is, prevents the reproduction of pathogenic microorganisms) and the detoxification function of the microflora, as well as its properties, to support all types of body metabolism and all functions of the gastrointestinal tract (motor, secretory, suction , excretory, immune). Bifidobacteria are a necessary component of the normal intestinal microflora and contribute to:
– support and normalization of intestinal microbiocenosis, protection against intestinal infections;
– improve digestion and absorption of nutrients, vitamins and minerals;
– synthesis of vitamins of group B, vitamin K, folic and nicotinic acids;
– absorption of calcium and vitamin D;
– immunity support;
– normalization of intestinal peristalsis.
