pharmachologic effect
Bifidobacterium Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (BB-12) as part of Linex for Kids® Drops contributes
• establishing and maintaining an equilibrium of the composition and functional state of the intestinal microflora, including in children of the first year of life with such digestive
Microflora of intestinal disorders such as colic *, gas formation, impaired stool (constipation, diarrhea) and other digestive disorders;
• maintaining the balance of the composition and functional state of the intestinal microflora when taking antibiotics and after the end of the course of treatment with antibiotics;
• reduce the risk of diarrhea caused by viral or bacterial infections of the gastrointestinal tract (including rotavirus infection);
• support in the formation and functioning of the immune system;
• prevention of atopic dermatitis in children.
Factors that have a negative impact on the formation of intestinal microflora of the newborn:
Children at risk of imbalance of intestinal microflora:
• cesarean section, premature labor;
• unfavorable during the neonatal period;
• late attachment to the chest;
• long stay in a maternity hospital or hospital;
• early artificial feeding;
• physiological immaturity of intestinal motor function.
Adverse moments in the life of a child (risk of imbalance of intestinal microflora):
• termination of breastfeeding and / or introduction of complementary foods;
• teething;
• hospitalization;
• stress (for example, separation from the mother when she goes to work);
• weaning, weaning from pacifiers;
• treatment with antibacterial drugs (eg, antibiotics);
• frequent acute respiratory infections;
• intestinal infections;
• unbalanced nutrition;
• functional disorders of intestinal motility;
• decreased immunity;
• biorhythms violation, long trips, change of residence.
These factors disrupt the natural colonization of the intestines with beneficial bacteria and can cause imbalance of microflora (dysbiosis, dysbiosis), and therefore children at risk of disrupting the microflora balance are more prone to functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT), food allergies, more susceptible to infections Gastrointestinal tract.
Indications
It is recommended as a biologically active food supplement for children from birth – a source of probiotic microorganisms – bifidobacteria (Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. Lactis (BB-12)).
The composition of probiotics “Linex for children® drops” includes the bifidobacterium Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (BB-12).
Bifidobacteria are found in breast milk and begin to colonize the intestines of a newborn from the first hours of life. Strain Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (BB-12) (strain DSM 15954) has high safety *, good tolerability and clinical efficacy in children from the neonatal period.
Bifidobacteria promote the natural formation of normal microflora and intestinal function, as well as create an optimal environment in the intestine for the action of digestive enzymes. In addition, bifidobacteria ensure the proper formation of immunity and help reduce the risk of developing infectious diseases, the possibility of manifestation of atopic dermatitis and food allergies in young children. In children breastfed, it is bifidobacteria that make up 60-91% of the microflora.
