Description
INOSITE Inositol (Myo-Inositol, Vitamin B8) is a vitamin B factor. Among vegetables, citrus fruits, whole grains, dried fruits (peanuts), seeds (wheat sprouts), legumes (legumes), yeast contain the greatest amount of inositol. Fruits and fresh vegetables contain more inositol than frozen, canned, and pickled foods. In humans, it is present in phospholipids and can stimulate endogenous production of lecithin. In addition, its biological role lies in the specific effects that control the metabolism of fats and sugars and the cellular functions of the nervous system. Finally, it is important for hair growth and the prevention of baldness. It has been scientifically proven that inositol can alter certain hormonal parameters, for example: it helps to reduce the level of LH (luteinizing hormone), testosterone and prolactin in plasma, and also to take part in reducing the ratio of LH / FSH (follicle stimulating hormone). Inositol is involved in restoring regularity of the menstrual cycle and ovulation. Due to the modulating effect on ovarian function, inositol is used in protocols of controlled ovarian hyperstimulation. In the case of insulin resistance or type II diabetes, inositol has the ability to improve the overall metabolic picture. In the case of polycystic ovarian disease, inositol contributes to the normalization of the pathophysiological mechanisms associated with metabolic and reproductive disorders. FOLIC ACID Folic acid is a water-soluble vitamin B (vitamin B9). Folic acid plays an important role in the metabolism of amino acids, the synthesis of protein and nucleic acids (primarily in the production of DNA and RNA) and the repair of chromosomes. Therefore, it is very important for normal cell division and tissue growth. Folic acid is found in green vegetables with large leaves, in the liver, eggs and legumes, while its content in fruits (except for oranges), meat and milk is rather low. During cooking, it almost completely collapses to folate (90%) in a few minutes.
