Heartburn … This unpleasant sensation of burning in the esophagus at least once in every life experienced every person. Therefore, the question of how to get rid of it is relevant for many. Heartburn caused by the hydrochloric acid of gastric juice may appear periodically after eating, most often against the background of poor diet, stress, physical exertion. Regardless of whether the stomach is healthy or sick, it produces acid at the time of the normal meal. A healthy person with a normal acidity of gastric juice does not experience any unpleasant symptoms. Regular increase in the acidity of gastric juice causes heartburn, a feeling of fullness and heaviness in the stomach, sour belching, leads to gastritis, a stomach ulcer.
The antacid most famous in the past – drinking soda helps to quickly but quickly get rid of heartburn and stomach pain. Soon the stomach again restores elevated levels of acid. In addition, baking soda has a lot of side effects, so modern medicine does not recommend using it as an antacid.
“Heartburn®” is a combined antacid agent, the effect of which is due to its constituent components. In addition to neutralizing hydrochloric acid and reducing heartburn, it has an enveloping, anti-inflammatory effect, prevents the appearance of belching, protects the gastric mucosa.
Information on active components and their properties:
Magnesium carbonate – antacid, astringent, coating agent. Strengthens mucus formation and resistance of the gastric mucosa, neutralizes the hydrochloric acid of gastric juice. Magnesium compounds are practically not absorbed into the blood, partially absorb toxins. They have a longer effect compared with sodium and calcium compounds.
Althea roots (powder). Even in antiquity, the Altea was known and valued as a medicinal plant. The name itself speaks of its healing properties (from Greek to heal). At the root of Althea contains up to 35% mucus, which acts enveloping the gastric mucosa, relieves irritation during inflammatory processes in the stomach and intestines. The protective effect of Althea is the higher, the higher the acidity of the gastric juice, since the viscosity of the mucus increases in contact with acid.
Chamomile extract has anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, carminative, antibacterial and sedative effect, promotes digestion. It is recommended for high acidity of gastric juice.
Fennel extract improves digestion, has an antispasmodic effect, is used as a carminative agent.
