Valerian has a multifaceted effect on the body. It has a calming effect on the nervous system. Valerian regulates the activity of the heart, acting through the central nervous system on heart attacks. Valerian improves the secretory function of the gastrointestinal tract, relieves spasms of the esophagus, helps regulate the secretion and excretion of bile.
The therapeutic effect of valerian is due to the complex of substances it contains, and, above all, the essential oil and alkaloids. In rhizomes and roots the amount of essential oil reaches 2%.
Valerian preparations are used as a sedative for insomnia, nervous agitation, neurosis of the cardiovascular system, tachycardia, as well as for epilepsy, asthma, migraine, spasms of the gastrointestinal tract and in the treatment of neurodermatitis. Sometimes valerian is used in combination with bromine preparations, heart and sedatives. In folk medicine, valerian is used in the form of infusions, decoctions, extracts and powders. The infusion of the root is used in menopause, after illness, as an appetite improving and tonic.
Mint restores strength, eliminates nervous overexcitement, nervousness due to lack of sleep. Reduces the reactivity of the skin during nervous overexcitation or contact with irritating substances, increases the protective functions of the epidermis, evens out skin color.
Pharmacological properties of peppermint: choleretic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, reduces the processes of fermentation and rotting in the intestines, tonic, wound healing, diuretic.
It has an antispasmodic effect on the cerebral vessels: in case of dizziness, nausea, vomiting, motion sickness in transport, in violation of the vestibular apparatus, it optimizes cerebral circulation. Mint has an anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect on caries, gum disease, and stomatitis. Eliminates bad breath associated with impaired digestive cycle. Motherwort herb is a sedative and mild neuroleptic. It is used in the form of an infusion, tincture or extract (often in combination with Valerian preparations) with increased nervous excitability, cardiovascular neurosis, in the early stages of hypertension. By the nature of the action, motherwort drugs are close to Valerian drugs. Clinical observations show that in some cases, the sedative effect of motherwort drugs is higher than when using Valerian drugs.
Motherwort is used as a hemostatic agent, as a hypotensive, improves blood circulation. Broth plants weakens the effect of adrenaline on blood vessels.
Motherwort drugs have a beneficial effect on carbohydrate and fat metabolism; reduce blood glucose, lactic and pyruvic acids, cholesterol and total lipids.

Recommendations for use:
“Evening +” dragee (with motherwort) should be taken by adults 1 tablet 3 times a day with meals, as a dietary supplement – a source of essential oils. Reception duration – 1 month.
