pharmachologic effect
Zakofalk – compensating for the deficiency of butyric acid and inulin.
Butyric acid is normally formed in the large intestine as a result of the breakdown by the normal gut microflora of non-digestible carbohydrates that come with food. The main function of butyric acid is to supply energy to the cells of the mucous membrane of the colon and maintain them in a healthy functional state.
Inulin is a soluble dietary fiber that creates a nutrient medium for the intestinal microflora, thereby stimulating the growth of beneficial bacteria (a prebiotic effect). Also, as a result of inulin metabolism, endogenous butyric acid is formed by intestinal bacteria.
The release of active substances in the colon. In order to fully realize their basic biological functions, butyric acid, when taken in, must enter the large intestine, without being prematurely absorbed in the overlying sections of the gastrointestinal tract. This is made possible through the use of a special technology based on a polymeric multimatrix structure, which allows tablets to overcome the unchanged form of the stomach and small intestine and reach the large intestine. Throughout the colon there is a gradual release of the active substances.
