Description of active ingredients:
- Senna – have an anti-toxic and laxative effect, due to the presence of anthraglycosides, which, disintegrating in the gastrointestinal tract, cause an increase in motility of the large intestine. The laxative effect appears after 6-8 hours after taking the drug. Unlike other laxatives, in particular rhubarb, senna in the doses used does not cause pain. In contrast to rhubarb, cassia does not contain bitter and tannins, as a result of which it does not increase appetite and does not cause constipation after a laxative effect. In contrast, aloe senna acts independently of the presence of bile in the intestine, and therefore can be used in patients with impaired bile flow into the intestine.
